July Beer of the Month: Lagunitas’ Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’
I remember the first time I had this beer. The big question was: What am I supposed to make of this? It was certainly delicious, but what is it? Is it a wheat beer or a pale ale? Does it matter? Mostly it’s a tall, cool glass that’s completely refreshing and completely defies categorization. Hoppy enough for the real hop-heads, but at the same time smooth and approachable enough like a summer wheat for the casual beer drinker. A dangerously smooth drinker for its strength…are we crazy to offer this as a beer of the month? Probably. Be careful with this one, and be ready to bow down to our new beery overlords at Lagunitas when they open of their massive new brewery in Chicago. With mind-bendingly delicious beers like this, they may conquer the world.
